Form PF Guidelines for Private Fund Managers
If you’re an SEC-registered investment adviser to private funds, completing Form PF could now be part of your regulatory compliance obligations. In an effort to protect the stability of the U.S. financial system, the SEC will be sharing Form PF information with the Financial Stability Oversight Council. And the SEC may use this information for examinations, investigations and investor protection.
Before you take action, there are some important questions to answer:
- Will your private fund be required to file a Form PF?
- Is your private fund eligible to complete the abbreviated Form PF?
- Do you know if your private fund meets the parameters that require filing additional Form PF information?
- Will your private fund be required to file quarterly or annually?
